Get Healthy and Love It

I just finished a 5 day clean eating challenge with my amazing friend Trisha Selbach. I feel so thankful to have had this opportunity.

And I’m so glad that I said yes. I knew that I might not get everything “perfect”, but, wow, even some small changes had a positive effect!

More water.

More salad greens.

Less sugar.

More Exercise!

Health is one of those things that you really can’t do without. Taking care of your body and your mind is absolutely vital to taking on almost any impressive undertaking.

And if you want to be an example of Love in the world, focusing on health makes perfect sense.

Love in Action

These 5 days affirmed the necessity of social support in improving habits and making positive decisions. Being held accountable and knowing that others relate to what you’re going through ~ These are powerful tools of change.

And the more I think about it, the more I feel that the health and wellness field is really another name for the industry of Love!

By helping each other learn how to take care of ourselves, we are raising the frequency of both our individual and collective energy.

We are vibrating in alignment with Love when we come together and say, “Hey, you’re worth it. Let’s work on this. Let’s get You feeling your best.”

Because when you have more energy, you have more Love give. And you have more fun!

Why can it feel so hard to Get Healthy?

Well, we’re creatures of habit. And, especially after a long cold winter, we may have gotten used to staying in and eating more than we need.

And if you feel like it’s drudgery to exercise or you dread giving up your favorite snacks, you’re very unlikely to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

But if you focus on what you really want, you might find some pretty solid motivation to adopt more positive habits.

Take time to figure out WHY you want to get healthy. It probably has to do with being around and having a wonderful time with the people you Love, right?

Keeping up with the Little Ones!

That’s a perfect reason to stick it out, even on the days when the gym isn’t calling your name!

And another important shift is Loving the process. Don’t stress about hitting some specific weight. Just feel good knowing that you are doing your best to Love yourself.

Have fun with it! Find other people that are where you’re at on the “getting healthy journey” and join forces. Support really is key.

Appreciate all the cool things your body can do. (And, as a bonus, remember that taking care of your body helps your mind feel much better too!)

Here in America we are so blessed to have access to the most nutritious foods from all over the planet. Discover delicious new recipes. Enjoy every bite.
