A Tale of Christmas Love

Today’s special edition of The Love Post is a true story . . .

Once upon a time there was a woman who Loved Christmas like she was still a little girl. She wanted something to remind her of Christmas in every room.

The brisk air filled her with bliss as she shared a warm “Hello!” with fellow shoppers. She even hoped for snow (Just a few inches) so that it would be a white Christmas.

This woman, now a mother with two little girls of her own, was filled with delight as she decked the halls and counted the days until Christmas. It was even more magical now, sharing this holiday cheer with her daughters.

The whole family joined in the festivities, enjoying the simple pleasures of making paper chains and cutting snowflakes out of some old white coffee filters.

The tree was lit and the apartment was starting to get that special, cozy Christmas feeling. The carols played ~ They sang day and night.

A Place to Hang the Stockings

One thing this beautiful little home was missing, however, was a fireplace. Last year, the artsy-crafty Mama had made a paper mantel to “hang” the stockings from.

But this year she wanted more.

And that’s when her personal Santa stepped in. Her Loving (and amazingly talented) husband said that this year she would have a real mantel to hang the stockings from.

Many hours of planning, purchasing supplies and building in the in-Love’s basement, and the mantel came home in the hatchback of the Prius in three pieces. It was assembled and installed with quite a bit more carpentry skill.

Mama added the finishing touch with the “fire”, made from material that had been stored for years, waiting for just such a project.

Suddenly the apartment was transformed into an elegant homestead. The Christmas charm was now complete.

All because of the Love of a husband and father, shown with a grand gesture of creativity and craftsmanship.

Christmas Love

I’m happy to report, live from The Love Post, that the True Spirit of Christmas is alive and well!

When we Love each other enough to make magical things happen, we bring Christmas Love to the world. We share in the miracle of life’s boundless possibilities. We remind each other that this is exactly what baby Jesus came to teach us.

♥♥♥

As I’m sure you may have guessed, I’m the fortunate Mama who has a very unique place to hang our stockings from this year.
