The 5 E’s of Teaching Love

As a student, one of the best ways to learn is to teach.

So here are 5 E’s to remember when you’re teaching Love . . .

Example

The only way we really learn is by example. More than anything someone says, we pay attention to what they do and how they behave instead.

If you’re teaching Love, you must focus on demonstrating Love. Be an example of Love by practicing self-care and mindfulness.

Act like Love. Be patient, kind, peaceful, joyful. Forgive and continuously come back to the present with openness and compassion.

Explicit Communication

I’m thrilled to be a student at Brendon Burchard’s Expert Academy. He’s sharing incredible knowledge and skills about how to share your message with the world.

He very wisely notes that explicit communication may actually be the key to happiness.

To me, this means being totally honest and open with both yourself and those around you. Say what you want to say.

Help everyone by being clear about what you want and where you are headed.

Let others know what you want and need from them so that you can work together most effectively for the benefit of all involved.

Experience

Being present allows you to fully enjoy each moment. This turns otherwise ordinary happenings into memorable experiences.

When teaching Love, you want to create experiences that enliven and enrich the lives of your students.

Really, we’re all students. And we’re all teachers.

The more aware and intentional we become about what we are teaching (and being taught), the more we can play an active role in creating our ideal life experience.

By creating your best life experience, you’re automatically offering guidance to others, showing an example of what is possible.

Teaching Love

Energize

Love is energy. When teaching Love, you want to embody this boundless energy. You want to share it freely so that other may  catch your contagious enthusiasm for life.

If you’re feeling tired, rest. Or, if need be, re-energize with some deep breaths and a glass of water. Exercise regularly to add to your vitality and vibrancy.

Empower

Teaching Love fills others with faith and hope. It makes them believe that they can live a life they Love, because you’re already doing it.

Use explicit language to encourage and advise those who seek Love.

Give the gift of confidence. Tell people that they can achieve their dreams with persistent and focused effort. Point at teachers and resources that will help them develop a workable strategy to fulfill their mission.
