This edition of The Love Post is part of a series. We’ll be reviewing Napoleon Hill’s 17 Principles of Success and how they relate to creating a life that you absolutely Love.
What makes you You?
How you look? What you wear? How and what you think? What you say? What you do? Your habits? What you eat? What you drink? Who you hang out with?
All of the above.
And the unique combination of traits that makes you who you are forms your personality. And your personality is responsible for attracting the life that you are experiencing right now.
As Napoleon says, your personality is . . .
Your greatest asset or liability.
Your personality is the combination of your mental, spiritual and physical traits and habits that make you unique. With every personal and business engagement, you should display sincerity and courtesy as well as a pleasing tone of voice and a welcoming smile.
The exciting news is that you can become anyone you want to be. If you think about your personality and realize that it’s not serving you, find ways to bring out the best in yourself!
Love Your personality by Loving yourself. Take some time to describe yourself as you are now. How you identify yourself largely determines your thoughts and behaviors.
First and foremost, make sure you know what makes you awesome. You’ve got some wonderful attributes. Congratulate yourself for being you!
And if there’s room for improvement (We can always find ways to improve!), decide what parts of your personality you’ll consciously upgrade.
Describe in detail who you want to be.
Use any combination of these changes to help you Love your personality even more than you already do!
♥ Stand/sit up straight. Smile.
♥ Start thinking nice thoughts about yourself and others. Focus on positive possibilities.
♥ Improve your vocabulary. What you say is what you get.
♥ Go buy some new (to you) clothes that you feel really great wearing.
♥ Choose some new whole foods to add to your diet.
♥ Drink more water.
♥ Work out.
♥ Adopt a new healthy habit. (For example, start reading personal development books instead of watching TV.)
♥ Connect with some new people.
Think about the people you admire most . . .
If you aren’t already, you can become your favorite person!
Enjoy being with yourself and others will want to spend time with you too.
So tell us, who do you admire? Why? What is it about their personality that attracts you?
