From Darkness Into Light

For the most part, I follow The Love Diet, consuming as much positive information as possible. This allows me to stay focused on creating A More Loving World.

I avoid the mainstream media because they are so often putting the spotlight on the negative and on things that are beyond my immediate control. If I can’t proactively improve a situation, it’s none of my business.

Of course, when something happens that results in social media commentary, I inevitably find out about it.

What just happened in Paris and Beirut reminds us that we are all connected. That we all share the pain of unnecessary suffering.

And that we’re all part of the evolution of our collective future.

What’s so encouraging to me is the outpouring of Love and support that have followed this tragedy.

My heart tells me that an important shift is happening.

We’re changing our focus. We’re paying more attention to what we want . . .

A More Loving World. (Join the community now!)

We’ve had enough (Too much, actually) violence.

We’re done with giving our power to those few who would have us live in fear.

We’re ready to embrace our freedom as peaceful world citizens. We’re willing to work to create safer communities for our Loved ones ~ our fellow Humankind.

A Global Shift

The primary sentiment is compassion and sympathy for the victims of these atrocities.

As we become more aware of the part we can play in creating A More Loving World, we become empowered to be part of positive change in the world.

Here are a few simple steps:

Express your deep desire for peace.

Get on The Love Diet and vote for peaceful, positive media.

Support domestic energy. (Perhaps it is not money but oil that is the root of all evil?)

From darkness into light, we begin to look for the root causes of such wanton acts of cruelty. Then we dedicate ourselves to addressing these causes.

We find ourselves more inclined to speak up and speak louder when our leaders are misrepresenting us.

We seek to unite with other world citizens who simply want to live happy, healthy lives with their family and friends.

We feel the pull towards kindness and gratitude . . . As Russell Brand calls for us to do, we “Love life more”.

And we acknowledge that we must demand more of ourselves and our governments. We the people are responsible for holding politicians accountable.

Let us respond to this tragedy by creating a new path moving forward.

Let us join together as authentically empowered individuals.

As George Takei said so beautifully, “Against the forces of darkness and terror, love and compassion shall always prevail.”
