The 10 Best Ways to Love Your Holidays

The “most wonderful time of the year” can also be the most stressful. That’s why this edition of The Love Post offers you the 10 Best Ways to Love Your Holidays!

1. Make Love Your Top Priority.

Commit to self-care and kindness for your fellow creatures this season. Nothing else really matters anyway!

2. Pretend You’re a Kid Again.

Do you recall the magic and wonder of the season when you were a child? Get back to that feeling. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.

3. Appreciate the Little Things.

Just like children do, get excited about every snowflake, every ornament, every festive song.

The 10 Best Ways to Love Your Holidays4. Laugh as Often as Possible.

This is solid advice any time of year. Read more about this and 3 other life-enhancing lessons in Lessons From Rita, yours free this weekend only!

5. Exercise.

Again, this goes for all year long. But exercise is especially important when the “To Do” list gets long and there are lots of tasty treats around.

6. Drink Plenty of Water.

Feel good and stay healthy with proper hydration. This simple habit can improve your quality of life.

7. Eat Your Fruits and Vegetables.

Nutritious food is Nature’s medicine. Stay focused on eating plenty of the good-for-you stuff and you won’t have room to eat too much sugar or fat. At least two servings of fruit and three servings of vegetables a day will keep you on track.

8. Find a Quiet Place.

Amidst all the hustle and bustle, peacefulness can get lost in the shuffle. Take at least a few moments each day (Five to twenty minutes would be best. If it’s thirty seconds, that’s quite a bit better than nothing at all!) to breathe and relax. Just be still and calm your mind and body. Simple meditation like this works wonders.

9. Give Gifts that Mean Something.

Instead of buying just to buy, think about creative ways of honoring your Loved ones this holiday season. Most of us are already overwhelmed with stuff. Consider making a donation to their favorite charity. Plan a special adventure to enjoy together.

10. Be Present.

Stay in the moment. Be mindful of how you’re feeling. Pay attention to what’s going on around you. Remember, your best gift is your presence!

So there you have it. The 10 Best Ways to Love Your Holidays.
