Love Is as Patient as the Day is Long.

I like to think of each day as a mini life. It has a beginning, a middle and an end. It has highs and lows. It tells a story. Each day has the potential to see a great adventure unfold. The world is different for you having lived it.

Love is with you on this extraordinary journey of today, giving you new opportunities to live completely at every step along the way.

In my search for truth and wisdom, I’ve been writing journal entries since I was a young girl. I still remember distinctly the day I had this epiphany. A moment of spiritual clarity made me take note: A day, perfectly lived, makes for a life of excellence.

All these years later, I’m sharing this thought with you because I believe it’s an important one. If you focus on Love each and every day, being mindful in the moment that you are living now, you cannot help but move forward in the direction of your dreams.

With this said, I want to clarify my insight. If we are striving for “perfection”, even one day becomes incredibly long! And some would say that it is silly, at best, or worse, actually detrimental to aim for perfection.

But what would a perfect day look like? When I say perfect, I mean completely loving. For me, it would be a performance of flawless Love. And that seems like a worthy goal.

We run into to trouble, however, if we begin to judge mistakes or give up on the day completely because of less than perfect moments. It doesn’t matter if you “mess up” for the 856th time today. Just start again for the 857th time by going back to Love in this moment.

Love doesn’t count transgressions. Its arms are always open. It’s happy to welcome you home no matter how long you’ve been away.

So whether you are taking a deep breath to remember to be patient with yourself or your toddler or your spouse or your co-worker, take the deep breath. Understand that greatness happens now. It is in our ability to demonstrate self-control and live according to our values that we become the Divine creatures that we truly are.

Love Is as Patient as the Day is Long.

Love Is as Patient as the Day is Long.

One day changes your life. That day is every day.

If this Love post made you feel good, please pass along that good feeling!
