Do You Workout at the Love Gym?

A gym is a great place to get stronger, to increase your flexibility, to improve your stamina and to push your limits. You use both your body and your mind to accomplish feats you may once have thought to be impossible.

The beautiful thing about flexing your Love muscles is that you can do it anywhere, anytime. Really, the world is your Love gym.

Everyday, life gives you the opportunity to show up and practice. It’s up to you to stretch beyond your comfort zone and grow into a high functioning Love machine.

What’s a good Love workout look like?

A good Love workout starts with a plan. For any practice to have the greatest impact, it must be designed with the end in mind.

Do you want to perform Lovingly 50% of the time? 75%? 99%?  Only You know how serious you are about living a life of Pure Love.

Whatever your ultimate goal is, the Love lifestyle begins with mindfulness. Being present in each moment allows you to center yourself in the freedom of Now. Love is all encompassing if we ground ourselves in the Eternal Source of Creation.

Commit to practicing mindfulness. Become more and more aware. Check in with yourself frequently to make sure that your thoughts are focused on the here and now.

If you find yourself living in the past or spending too much time thinking about what’s to come in the future, give yourself a signal to return to where you are at this moment. This can be as simple as a deep breath and a short mantra, such as Dr. Wayne Dyer suggests: “Sacred Love flow through me now.”

Now that you are ready to stretch and gain strength, determine what thoughts, words and activities will support your Love goals.

Do you engage in encouraging, positive self-talk? This is a big one. How we communicate with ourselves determines what messages we will send and receive from those around us. If you do nothing else, work to eliminate self-talk that isn’t Loving and supportive.

Do you workout at the Love gym?Do you build time for self-care into your daily routine? Proper nutrition, exercise, fulfilling work, relaxation and rest are all essential parts of a well-developed Love workout.

Love Workout Exercises

Next, you’ll want to build in Love exercises that improve your relationships and quality of life.

Here’s a few examples:

Daily study in the form of reading or audio that inspires, informs and guides you towards living your most Loving life.

For starters, if you haven’t already, read Lessons From Rita , Love Vocabulary, and Letters to My Love.

Another great resource are books by Don Miguel Ruiz, especially The Four Agreements.
There are many amazing teachers to study. Finding one you like will often lead you to many others!

Journaling. This wonderfully simple tool aids in a quick boost of self-awareness. Writing daily about what you are grateful for enhances your ability to attract more of what you want into your life. Putting thoughts and feelings on paper provides clarity and calls upon Love to help you solve your greatest challenges.

Acts of Kindness. Whether it’s a smile to a stranger, a Love note to your partner or child, or a generous tip to your waiter or waitress, Love appreciates these demonstrations of commitment to the lifestyle. The more Loving acts you perform, the more energy you’ll generate to put towards your heart’s deepest desires.

Make Love. Have Sacred Sex  as often as possible. Connecting on a spiritual level through physical intimacy expands your mind and heart and offers bliss. As Michael Mirdad teaches,

The practice of sacred sexuality requires the self-awareness and maturity to follow a few simple principles and to set healthy boundaries. The essential principles are Safety, Responsibility, Communication, Trust, and Surrender.

Also, make Love by transmuting your sexual energy into other positive creative endeavors. Napoleon Hill addresses this incredibly important skill in Chapter 11 of his classic personal development book, Think and Grow Rich.

Get Yourself to the Gym

At your core, you are Love. If you want to enjoy your life, then pay attention to your Loving Spirit. Just like you take care of your body, the vessel that holds your Love energy in the physical world.

Decide what kind of results you want from your Love workout. Make a plan to practice as much as necessary to get the results you seek.

See you at the gym!
