Love Sells

I used to think how nice it'd be if I could get paid to Love people. Because I naturally do that! And everyone needs Love, so it's a valuable asset to have and offer.

And what I've realized now is that whatever you do, you'll do better if you bring the Love!

As you've probably heard, people do business with people they know, like and trust. So I would add to that. People Love doing business with people they know Love them!

I suppose it's no surprise. But I still think it's happy news worth sharing. If you want to succeed in business, Love your customers! (And Love your teammates too - it shows when your company culture is one of caring and support.)

Now you might think, "That's fine for you, Mary Anne. But I don't know how to Love someone I just met."

Well, I have more good news! You can learn how to!

It's important to remember that Love is not just a feeling - it's a verb too! So here are some quick tips to generate Love for your potential customers or clients. Or, really, anyone and everyone you meet!

  • Look each other in the eye. This is where Souls meet. Recognize this person as a fellow human being that breathes the same air you do. Already, you have something in common!
  • Smile!
  • Give a good handshake by mirroring the grip of your new acquaintance. Relationships are most successful when there as a balance and sense of equalify between the parties.
  • Listen in. Truly paying attention to what someone has to say is one of the most Loving acts there is.
  • Acknowledge this person as someone that has entered your story for a reason. In fact, you attracted this person into your life. Look for the gift that will come from this connection.
  • Look for more things in common. This is what rapport building is all about. And you might be surprised to find that you have more in common with most "strangers" than you'd first expect!

By following these simple steps of respect and caring, you will cultivate Love in your business and life.

Trust me, it'll be worth it!
