Love Saves the Day!

Today’s edition of The Love Post is a happy follow up to The Post from August 2, 2014, Love says, Bring Back Arthur T.

The employees of Market Basket spoke up – loudly – when the Board ousted their beloved CEO. The customers quickly responded by boycotting the grocery store.  Some shoppers even took out a full page ad informing the new management that they couldn’t fire us, we quit.

There were petitions signed and rallies held.

The demonstration of such courageous loyalty drew the attention of press from across the globe.

What is so special about this CEO?

“I love you all,” he said in his return speech to workers on Thursday morning.

“You taught everybody that Market Basket is a place where respect, honor and dignity is a way of life,” Arthur T told his workers. “You displayed your unwavering dedication and desire to protect the culture of your company. You have demonstrated that at this organization, here at Market Basket, everyone is special. You have demonstrated that everyone has a purpose, everyone has meaning, that no one person is better than another, that no one person holds a position of privilege. … We are all equal.”

Arthur T openly shared his feelings with the crowd at their Tewksbury, Massachusetts headquarters.

“I’ve always believed that we are born into this world at a certain time and a certain place to be with certain people for a reason and a purpose. Everyone has a destiny and because of you I stand here with a renewed vigor and a sense of purpose.”

“And may we always remember this past summer, first as a time where our collective values of loyalty courage and kindness for one another really prevailed and in that process we just happened to save our company.”

The Market Basket story has become a stunning example of the power of Love. When people are Loved and valued, they become strong, even fearless.

Faced with losing their jobs, the employees (and even suppliers) of this company risked their lively hoods to stand behind the man that recognized their value and treated them with kindness and respect.

This story is sure to affect business practices moving forward. It displays the tremendous benefits of upstanding corporate behavior.

I truly believe that humanity will continue to evolve towards peace and prosperity with more noble acts of Love happening every day.

Just as the Market Basket family came together to ensure that justice prevailed, the human family will unite in solidarity to achieve freedom and find a way to take care of all its members.

It is up to us to vote for A More Loving World with our dollars, with our time, with our voices and with our actions.

Thank you so much for reading and sharing The Love Post.

The news will reflect a more balanced view of life as we focus on the positive and put our energy and attention into what we want to read in the headlines.

As Arthur T said so beautifully, “Welcome home.”

“I love you all.”
